Seven (7) Campbell Scientific (CS) CR350 Data loggers with a 2-year Verizon 250 MB plan are needed to complete the Clover Creek water quality and instream flow monitoring network. These instruments are specially designed modems for use in aquatic environments. The CR350 is a multi-purpose, low power demand, compact measurement and control data logger. The County uses these specific Campbell Scientific data loggers throughout the County's existing monitoring network, and it is important to maintain uniformity in the instrumentation the County deploys and operates. This instrument has a water surface elevation level logger that will record hydrological and meteorological conditions in real-time. The CR350 concentrates data and makes it available over the County's preferred telemetry network using our established protocol. The CR350 also performs automated on-site or remote decision-making for remote control and communications, such as with turning the County's auto samplers "on or off" based on the storm hydrograph or other remote direction as issued from the County's operators. The Campbell Scientific data logger is the ideal data logger for diagnostic monitoring program applications requiring long-term, remote monitoring and control, which is why the County wants to maintain overall network consistency by deploying the same data logging instrument throughout the Clover Creek TMDL water quality and instream flow monitoring network.
