Project to include: Construction of storm sewer and roadway improvements including
approximately 1,250 LF of full depth HMAC replacement, storm sewer pipe, concrete
ribbon curb, concrete driveways, water lines & services, and associated improvements.
BIDS will be opened on the same day and publicly read aloud at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June
8, 2017, in the City Council Chambers at the City of Taylor, 400 Porter Street, Taylor, TX
76574. No faxed bids will be accepted.
SPECIFICATIONS may be examined without charge at the City of Taylor. Contract documents
including bid proposal forms, plans sheets, and specifications for the Project may be viewed and
downloaded at www.bidnetdirect.com on or after May 15, 2017. Scanned plans and
specifications (PDF format) are available on CD for a non-refundable price of $25.00 from Halff
Associates, Inc., 9500 Amberglen Blvd, Building F, Suite 125, Austin, Texas 78729, 512-777-
4600. Printed copies of the Contract Documents may also be viewed at the Engineer’s office and
at the City of Taylor. Addenda issued will be posted on www.bidnetdirect.com .

A CERTIFIED CHECK or an acceptable bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%)
of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder
will promptly enter into contract with the City of Taylor, and furnish bonds on the forms provided.
A PRE-BID CONFERENCE (NON MANDATORY) will be held 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May
24, 2017, at City Council Chambers, 400 Porter Street, Taylor, TX 76574.
BIDDERS are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves of all local
conditions. Time of completion shall be 150 calendar days including Saturdays, Sundays, and
legal holidays.
THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER OR BIDDERS will be required to furnish a Performance Bond,
Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond as stipulated in the specifications.
NO BID may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety
(90) calendar days.
THE CITY reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, waive any and/or all formalities, and
award the bid as it appears most beneficial to the City.
