The City of Sulphur Springs will receive SEALED bids for Street Improvement Program 2024 until 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Business Office, ATTN: Ashley Floyd, 125 S. Davis St., Sulphur Springs, TX 75482. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:05 A.M. on April 12, 2024 at the Business Office located at 125 S. Davis St. Bid/Contract Documents, including Technical Specifications are on file at 125 S. Davis St., Sulphur Springs, TX 75482, on the website at www.sulphurspringstx.org or by emailing Dave Reed at dreed@sulphurspringstx.org. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to Mill 1” 51,000 SY, Mill and inlay 300 Tons of Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete and apply approximately 9000 Tons of Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete overlay and perform approximately 32,000 SY Cement Treatment of the Sub Grade including mixing, adding cement, watering, compaction, final grading, and prime coat. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety is required with each bid for those contracts that exceed $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Sulphur Springs or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Sulphur Springs reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. In case of lack of clarity in stating prices, the City reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof or reject bid. Bids may be held by City of Sulphur Springs for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award. Qualified DBE firms are encouraged to submit a bid.
