GRAND STRAND WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY
Sealed bids for the construction and installation of the:
BULL CREEK SWTP SITE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS (674-01)
and appurtenant items as prepared by G3 Engineering & Surveying, LLC in Horry County, SC, will be received by Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority at its Administrative Center located at 166 Jackson Bluff Rd, Conway, SC 29526 until 2:00PM, TUESDAY, APRIL 19, 2022. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project.
Project Overview:
The Bull Creek Surface Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) Site Drainage Improvements comprises of three improvement areas selected because of the immediate need to maintain access to the Bull Creek Surface Water Treatment Plant during local storm events in excess of a 500-year, 24-hour storm event. As demonstrated by Hurricane Florence, flooding from this event overtopped the existing Treatment Road and threatened to inundate the Bull Creek facility.
The three improvements are as follows:
IMP-1 – Removal of existing three 18” RCP pipes and installation of two 2’ x 3’ box culverts at the crossing underneath Treatment Road
IMP-3 – Installation of two 24” RCP pipes in the area around Field 81 to the north and south of Marine Park Road
IMP-6 – Raising approximately 1,200 feet of Treatment Road at the ditch crossing in conjunction with the installation of box culverts associated with IMP-1
This project is being funded by a loan from the State Revolving Fund (SRF). Bidders must comply with all applicable state and federal requirements identified in the bid documents – including Davis-Bacon and “American Iron and Steel” Provisions.
Each Bid must be accompanied by an original raised seal Bid Bond payable to the Owner for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. A certified check may be used in lieu of a Bid Bond.
