City of Kentwood joins the MITN Purchasing Group by Bidnet Direct

The City of Kentwood has officially joined the MITN Purchasing Group, one of Bidnet Direct’s regional e-procurement solutions, providing vendors throughout Michigan easy online access to its upcoming solicitations. The City of Kentwood invites all vendors to register online at www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn/cityofkentwood.

The regional purchasing group connects local public agencies with vendors looking to do business with the government. Registered vendors of the MITN Purchasing Group can gain access to a variety of bid opportunities throughout Michigan in one easy-to-use location. By posting upcoming bids and RFPs on the MITN Purchasing Group, the City of Kentwood ensures an entire community of vendors can view their solicitation, download documents, and receive notification of addenda, helping to streamline their procurement process.

"As one of many public agencies looking to procure a variety of different goods and services, utilizing the MITN Purchasing Group will allow the City to find more vendors, increasing participation and creating more competition, which is a plus for us because that increases our opportunity to choose reliable businesses to work with and ensures that we can get what we need at a fair price,” said Carla Kane, Purchasing Agent of the City of Kentwood, when asked why their department decided to join the MITN Purchasing Group. “It will continue to allow the City to support local businesses while also providing growth opportunities for those vendors.”

The City of Kentwood invites all local vendors to visit www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn/cityofkentwood and register to receive access to its upcoming solicitations as well as the upcoming bids and RFPs from 279 other public agencies participating on the MITN Purchasing Group. Registered vendors have the option to upgrade their service to receive customized bid alerts, notification of term contract expiration, and notification of a real-time addendum.
