Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Mississippi Libraries (UML) is considering discovery service options and encourages proposals from vendors, nonprofit organizations and others offering to provide hosted, multi-tenant SaaS discovery services. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to outline the specifications for a discovery service, and to solicit bids from providers for hosting a fully integrated discovery system. Enhancing discovery of library collections is mission-critical for UML and its researchers. Discovery services include a vendor-managed knowledgebase, link resolver, A to Z list, and a well-developed discovery search tool with API functionality. Additional mandatory components include ERM and analytics tools for use reporting. These systems must be available 7 days a week with the public interfaces available at all times.
