Specifications include, but are not limited to: Service shall be provided by the awarded bidder(s) on a 24 hour a day 7 days a week basis. Routine calls shall be responded to within 72 hours after the request is initiated. Normal work shall be accomplished during the day between the hours of 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Emergency service shall be provided within one hour of request, regardless of when the request is made. Standard labor rates shall apply in all situations, except that time and a half shall be paid on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The Town will not pay travel time. Failure to respond within the specified time limits may result in contract cancellation. The company must have a major contractor’s license issued by the State of Connecticut. Each bidder shall state the labor classification of workers who will be assigned to normal service calls. The names, years of experience and labor/skill levels of each member of the bidder's firm shall also be listed. The workers shall be licensed electricians or journey men - E1 or E2. All bidders and their personnel shall be licensed to perform electrical services within the State of Connecticut. Prior to commencement of work, the contractor shall report to the office of Facilities Services and upon completion of work return to the Facilities Services office (with a Service Report which shall list hours worked and parts used) to obtain an authorized signature. When at all possible, the same electrician shall provide repairs to the same buildings. Installation of any new circuits, in any town building, will be identified in the panel, and upon request of the Facilities Services Associate Director, marked in the blueprint for that building in the Division of Facilities Services.
