Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a contractor, to sandblast and paint the finish and on-course timing structures for the crosscountry course at Gans Creek Recreation Area. Contractor shall furnish all required materials, supplies, equipment and tools; to perform all necessary labor and supervision; and to install, erect, equip, and complete all work stipulated in, required by, and in accordance with the proposed contract documents, specifications/project sheets and photos, (Attachment 1), and other documents referred to herein (as altered, amended, or modified by all addenda hereto) for and in consideration of the prices stated herein. Contractor shall remove all previous black coatings from structures down to the steel and galvanized steel. Contractor shall protect and cover all turf, irrigation system with tarps around work area to prevent sand and paint from damaging the running surface. Contractor shall provide sand blasting material of natural non-toxic origin. Contractor shall contact City representative for approval after sandblasting is completed, before beginning the painting process. Contractor shall apply two (2) coats of “Direct to Metal”, black semi-gloss industrial paint. Contractor shall be responsible for all existing underground, overhead facilities, structures and utilities; contractor shall have all verified prior to the start of construction. Contractor shall call Missouri One-Call System at 1-800-DIG-RITE (344-7483). Contractor shall park, stage all materials, tools, equipment, etc. in an area approved by the City representative. The City shall not be responsible for theft or damage to the contractor’s property. All possible safety hazards to workers or the public shall be corrected immediately and left in a safe condition at the end of each workday. Contractor shall be responsible for repair of damage to irrigation system, building exterior and interior, drives, curbs, streets, walks, turf, grass, shrubbery and trees, which may be caused by workmen or equipment employed during progress of work. All such repairs shall be made to satisfaction of the City representative, at no cost to the City.
