Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed work consists of removing existing asphalt pavement replacing the bike path with PCC pavement including all saw cutting, removal and disposal of existing pavement and earth materials, compaction of subgrade, aggregate base course and traffic control, officially known as the VILLAGE OF CHATHAM, BIKE PATH IMPROVEMENS- SOUTH PARK #2, Chatham, Illinois. The project shall consist of saw cutting, removal and disposal of existing asphalt pavement and tree roots, compaction of subgrade, placement and compaction of aggregate base course for pavement replacement areas, 10-foot wide 5-inch PCC pavement, and all traffic control along the bike path adjacent to the work. All work shall be in accordance with the contract documents and details and shall be performed in accordance with the Illinois Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for the work and materials specified. All labor and materials are included as part of this Request for Proposals and shall be subject to the Illinois Department of Labor Prevailing Wages for such work. As a condition of this contract, all work shall be performed by a contractor prequalified by the State of Illinois to do work for the Illinois Department of Transportation, including sub-contractors.
