Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide pesticides and equipment used in compliance with the manufacturer’s direction and as approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Massachusetts Department of Food and Agriculture, Pesticide Bureau. Successful bidder shall comply with the Children’s Protection Act of 2000, an amendment to the Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act requiring parents, staff and children to receive the Department of Food and Agriculture approved statement, along with a written notification, whenever pesticide applications are being made on the property. Successful bidder must allow the Lowell Public School to conduct an annual C.O.R.I check for all employees. The contractor must submit a C.O.R.I. REQUEST FORM for every staff member along with a copy of their license. The contract shall include all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and services required for proper performance of the trade or trades involved. Emergency service should be available at no additional cost provided the work can be performed within normal working hours. Emergency procedures shall be in compliance with Mass. Chapter 85, Acts of 2000. Bi-Monthly maintenance will consist of the following: Inspect and rid the locations of insects, flying insects and rodents. Check bait stations Servicing entryways, restrooms, custodian’s closets, designated kitchens and cafeterias, and all school classrooms, main offices, nurse’s offices, guidance offices, etc.
