Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Cherokee County School District (CCSD) is soliciting proposals from qualified proposers to provide complete quarry tile flooring replacement and restoration for CCSD locations. The proposer will provide demolition of existing floors and installation of new flooring, and restoration . In the best interest of CCSD, projects will be awarded by the issuance of individual projects and may be awarded to multiple proposers. For new installation, CCSD preferred products are as follows: A. Dal Q42 Arid ABR 6x6 or equivalent. B. Schluter Dilex AHKA 125 AE or equivalent. C. Mapei IEG CQ #09 Gray or equivalent. Restoration projects will consist of the following: A. Deep cleaning/stripping floor to remove any coatings, debris, or contaminants from the surface. B. Drying overnight to bring surface to a pH neutral reading. C. Applying MicroGuard coating in satin finish across the entire floor. D. Allow proper dry and cure time (minimum 6 hours) before light foot traffic. E. During the first five (5) days after initial application, clean the surface using only water. F. After a five (5) day period, use a pH neutral cleaner (6-8 pH is acceptable) to clean the surface.
