Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) has ten (10) divisions and employs approximately 600 employees dedicated to preserving the integrity of the marketplace and promoting a fair and competitive business environment throughout Colorado. DORA is the states umbrella regulatory agency, charged with managing licensing and registration for multiple professions and businesses, implementing balance regulations for Colorado industries, and protecting consumers. 1. Provide security services from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday 2. Monitor the DORA Welcome Center for the purpose of detecting and preventing individuals from committing acts which may be injurious to others or harmful to DORA staff or facility. 3. Monitor the DORA Welcome Center at all times, except when responding to a security incident on another DORA floor. 4. Handle disorderly visitors, including escorting them from the building. 5. Intervening, when necessary, to stop injurious acts, conduct searches for firearms or other weapons and provide details on individuals for investigations, detentions, or arrests by law enforcement. 6. Detaining individuals, when necessary, for further investigation or arrest. 7. Safeguarding the designated DORA post against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. 8. Responding to reports of ill or injured employees or visitors, providing first ai, notifying and coordinating assistance from appropriate emergency personnel when necessary/ 9. Responding to threats of bombs or other terroristic events, including providing such information to the DORA contact, initiating proper employee response (i.e. evacuation, shelter in place), and contacting law enforcement. 10. Responding to fire or other alarms and taking appropriate action as indicated by DORA.
