Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Festus, Missouri (hereinafter, the “City”) is seeking a Statement of Qualifications from qualified towing and recovery services providers (hereinafter, “Providers”) to perform towing services at the request of the City. The City is requiring a Statement of Pricing for each service contemplated from all Providers submitting a Statement of Qualifications. A Qualified Provider will be selected as the sole provider of Towing Services. There shall be no actual or implied contractual relationship between the City and the Provider. The City is only seeking qualified firms for consideration. Approved Towing Services - Minimum Requirements The towing service provider must always meet the specifications in Classes A, B, C and D in the Tow Truck Classifications listed below and all other requirements in this policy to be eligible. Tow Truck Classifications Class A Fortowing passenger vehicles, pick-up trucks, and smalltrailers. This classification shall include wheel lift and carriers. • Tow truck chassis shall have a minimum manufacturer’s capacity of 14, 500 lbs. GVWR. • Carrier chassis shall have a minimum manufacturer capacity of 18,000 lbs. GVWR. • Boom capacity of not less than 8,000 lbs. and individual power winch pulling capacity of not less than 8,000 lbs. • Wheel lift or under lift capabilities and two dollies for use with AWD vehicles. • Four (4) safety chains for securing vehicles to bed. • Carrier bed shall be a minimum length of 19 feet, with a minimum width of 84 inches. Class B For towing medium-sized trucks, trailers, recreation vehicles, etc. • Tow truck chassis shall have a minimum manufacturer’s capacity of 26,000 lbs. GVWR. • Boom capacity of no less than 24,000 lbs. • Wheel lift or under lift capabilities
