Specifications include, but are not limited to: Remove cable and fence posts. Remove current property sign. Contractor shall dispose of cable and fence post material. Sign shall be transferred to Assistant Regional Scenic River Manager (see CONTACT) for disposal. Create cut for entrance off State Route 534 and install appropriately sized culvert to meet ODOT specifications (see PERMITTING). Install driveway entrance using specs for the gravel parking area. The driveway should be wide enough for two-way traffic and should be curved (slightly widened) in both directions where it ties into State Route 534 to assist drivers entering and exiting with visibility. Tree removal The parking area location has been sited to minimize the need for tree clearing. Invasive species such as bush honeysuckle, multiflora rose, privet, and others may be removed. For all standing trees left, damage should be prevented. NO trees may be removed without prior approval. Trees that are removed may be left on the property within the woods away from the property boundary. Brush should be piled for the benefit of wildlife, and so it does not impede future access to the site. Grade parking area. Ensure proper drainage. A berm should be created around the parking area to better define the area and prevent loss of gravel. Material from on site should be used for this. A 5’ buffer strip should be left in place on the east side of the ditch.
