Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of the sale is to convert formerly dangerous &/or abandoned property into single-family housing and improve public infrastructure (install sidewalks) as required. Sealed bids must be clearly marked ‘SEALED BID-Residential Lots’ and turned into the Office of the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on April 11, 2024 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read. The successful bidder, upon payment of the bid price, will be issued a Quit Claim Deed from the City of Cameron contingent upon the agreement to build a single-family residence on the lot within two years of the closing date. For each property, no bid under $7,500 will be accepted. Bidder may bid on one, all or any combination of properties. Failure to construct a single-family home on the property within the two-year timeframe will result in the property ownership reverting back to the City of Cameron and all monies paid being forfeited.
