Specifications include, but are not limited to: Closing two abandoned mine entries, installing an underdrain behind a residence, and filling a subsidence in York Township. This project will occur at three different sites. The sites are as follows: McCollum Mine Entry, AT-Yk-88 The McCollum residence is experiencing mine drainage seeping into the basement. This was the site of a previous ODNR project with an underdrain installed to alleviate the mine drainage issue. The intent of this project is to remove the existing underdrain and install a larger and more extensive drain. There is also a mine entry located within 150’ from Pancake Road which will require a dry mine seal. Elm Rock Road Subsidence, AT-Yk-84 There is a subsidence approximately 15’ x 20’ x 8’ deep that will need to be backfilled with Type C Stone and capped with select fill from an approved location. Stone Mine Entry Maintenance, AT-Yk-92 This project will require a bat gate to replace a failed concrete bag seal placed in 1997. In addition a berm will need to be constructed to prevent a nearby stream from overflowing into the mine entry during storm events.
