Project Description
Hurst Hall is an 84,927sf laboratory and classroom facility built in 1962 on the Western State Colorado University Campus in Gunnison, CO. The aging mechanical system is plagued by multiple malfunctioning systems and requires a number of targeted upgrades to existing mechanical equipment, especially to the laboratory supply/exhaust systems and controls. A prime mechanical, electrical or plumbing contractor is sought to execute the work according to the contract documents currently available.
 
Scope of Services
The work consists of the following components
Base Bid:

1. Replace Phoenix pneumatic laboratory ventilation controls with Phoenix digital controls.
2. Replace (6) AHU VFDs
3. Provide (2) new AHU VFDs
4. Replace outdated Automated Logic controls with updated controls.
5. Replace laboratory exhaust fan motors.
6. Replace air and hydronic distribution systems.
7. Remove existing DX condensing units and piping.

1. In addition to base Bid, remove DX coils from AHUs and replace with new evaporative cooling modules.
