Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Proposers must be able to attest to the scientific research-base and its proven effectiveness substantiated by empirical data. 2.Proposers are asked to demonstrate the alignment of their program to the district’s 4 high leverage culturally responsive teaching strategies: Creating a welcoming environment Rigorous instruction / high expectations for all Culturally Inclusive Curriculum Teacher and Administrator training on Culturally and Linguistically relevant pedagogy 3. Proposers should demonstrate their ability to work with the district to create a customized curricular plan for moving forward with Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching strategies. 4. Proposers should align their plan to the work designed by: Gloria Ladson-Billings, Manuel Ramirez III and Alfredo Castaneda, Christopher Emdin, Geneva Gay, Lisa Delpit, Sharroky Hollie, Etta Hollins, Christina Celic, Kate Seltser or other academic leaders in the field. 5. Proposers should align their plan to provide instruction on “The Culturally Relevant Classroom, and Teaching for Social Justice.
