SSN-RC-2017-013 - Proposed Sole Source Contract - LED Lighting Retrofit with Direct Install Incent

The County of Rockland intends to issue a Sole Source award to a contract to SmartWatt, 30 Ramland Rd, Suite 103, Orangeburg, NY 10962 in the amount of $33,990.39.   This purchase will be made on a sole source basis in accordance with the Rockland County Procurement Policy.

The Contractor shall provide the following product: LED Lighting upgrades, including direct incentives to defray at least 87% of the cost, at the Rockland County Courthouse, 1 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956.
 
Under the proposed contract, SmartWatt, as an energy efficiency partner of Orange and Rockland Utilities, will replace approximately 2427 florescent light bulbs, and ballasts where necessary, with LED bulbs to achieve 657,104 kWh savings and an estimated annual cost savings of $111,708. The total cost of the project is $233,741.38 with Orange and Rockland Utilities providing a Direct Install Incentive of $ $199,750.99; resulting in an out-of-pocket cost to the County of $33,990.39.
