8038 - Installation of (AOP) Water Treatment Systems & GAC System at The Old Dock Road

                                                       NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  That sealed proposals for installation of Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) Water Treatment Systems and Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) System at the Old Dock Road Well Field & Pump Station  will be received by the Purchasing Director of the Suffolk County Water Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, NY  11739, not later than 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, on May 10, 2024 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.  In addition, Bids will be accepted electronically, prospective bidders have the opportunity to submit their bids via the following website: www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york.
Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents are available for you to download by login in to the following websites  www.scwa.com; or www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york. Questions and answers will also be posted on the public websites noted above.
A Suffolk County Water Authority Engineer will meet the prospective Bidders at 10:00 a.m., April 29, 2024, for a pre-bid meeting.  The pre-bid meeting will be held at the Old Dock Road well field.  The site is located on south side of Old Dock Road, 746’  east of Church Street, Kings Park, NY.  It is strongly recommended that all prospective Bidders attend the meeting.
Details relating to the proposed work are also on file and publicly exhibited at the Office of the Purchasing Department, of the Suffolk County Water Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739 where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application.
Whereas the Suffolk County Water Authority (Authority) has submitted an application for Water Infrastructure Investment Act (WIIA) funding, the attached specifications pertaining to required Davis-Bacon Act and MBE/WBE requirements are hereby made a part of this contract.  Bidders must comply with the terms as described in Contract 8038.  Bidders are required to submit the documentation required as per the Davis-Bacon Act and MBE/WBE; failure to submit the documentation will result in rejection of your bid.
