IFB-7.17 - Brown's Pond House ACM Demolition Project

BASE BID WORK
BROWN’S POND HOUSE (CONTROLLED DEMOLITION WITH ASBESTOS IN PLACE)
▪ Abatement Contractor responsible for demolition, removal and disposal of the Browns Pond House in compliance with 12 NYCRR Part 56-11.5 (Controlled Demolition with Asbestos in Place), all other applicable provisions of 12 NYCRR Part 56, Federal & Local Regulations and the approved NYSDOL Engineering Services Unit Site-Specific Variance. Abatement Contractor responsible for all demolition required to successfully remove the house, as well as for providing all equipment necessary to remove the house. The construction type for the basement floor is currently unknown. It appears that the floor might be wood planks on earth fill. Lump sum base bid pricing to assume
the basement floor is wood planks on earth fill. The following house/site structures to remain intact and undamaged:
- South, east & west foundation to remain as retaining wall.
- Existing well pit/vault to the west shall remain undisturbed.

ADD ALTERNATE WORK

▪ Abatement Contractor to provide alternate price per/square foot for removal of concrete slab if encountered. Abatement Contractor responsible for demolition, removal and disposal of concrete slab in compliance with 12 NYCRR Part 56-11.5 (Controlled Demolition with Asbestos in Place), all other applicable provisions of 12 NYCRR Part 56, Federal & Local Regulations and the approved NYSDOL Engineering Services Unit Site-Specific Variance. Abatement Contractor responsible for all demolition required to successfully remove the concrete slab, as well as for ipment necessary to remove the concrete slab.
