Description

The City of Newburgh, NY Police Dept. requests proposals from qualified vendors to onboard a Fixed Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.

The LPR cameras will be installed at strategic locations, such as intersections, bridges, and tunnels. The cameras will be able to read and record license plate numbers and will be able to automatically notify law enforcement if a plate number is associated with a stolen vehicle or a vehicle that is wanted in connection with a crime.

It is estimated that about 25 locations totaling 60 cameras will be required. Final determination of locations and cameras will be made after the award is completed. The selected vendor and the City will work together in finalizing the plan.

The City requires that a Non-Collusion Bidding Affidavit (Addendum Page 11) be submitted with all proposals pursuant to its authority according to Section 103-d of the State of New York Finance Law. This Non-Collusion Bidding Affidavit must be executed in blue ink by the member, officer, or employee of the vendor who makes the final decision on prices and the amount quoted in the proposal. The affidavit must be notarized.
