The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a biomedical waste disposal contractor to collect, transport, and dispose of all biomedical waste generated by the Macomb County Health Department (County) during the term of this agreement. Biomedical waste is defined as sharps, hypodermic needles, syringes, microbial cultures, tissue cultures, liquid and human waste, including blood, blood products, and body fluids, laboratory containers and slides that meet the definition of regulated medical waste.
