This work is for an MDOT subcontract 426 project. Sealed bids will be received in the
office of the City Clerk, in the City Hall, 333 West Ellsworth Street, Midland, Michigan 48640 until 2:00 p.m. July 18, 2017, after which time no further bids will be received. Bids will be publicly opened and read at this time and place. After award, a preconstruction meeting will be held at City Hall in the City of Midland.
The work shall consist of a 2.0” uniform cold mill and Single Course HMA overlay for the entire width of the pavement from the POB to the POE. There will be an additional 2” of cold milling with a corresponding 2” HMA lift of pavement for the two eastbound lanes from Sta 1386+20 to Sta 1391+20.
Drainage structures and monument boxes that are low within the resurfacing limits shall be adjusted at the discretion of the Engineer. Upon completion of Dr Structure Cover, Adj, Case 1 and the monument box adjustments, the existing roadbed shall be covered with HMA, 4E3.
