The work under this contract consists of locating, exposing, and repairing the interior and exterior components of various manholes within the project limits noted on the plans and work schedule. This work shall include, but is not limited to; excavating and removing existing pavement, reconstructing the chimney, preparation of proposed repair areas, both external and internal, reconstructing the bench and channel, tuck pointing interior pipes, applying an external seal, replacing and raising the frame and cover and any required restoration. The extent of the repairs may not be known or verified until the contractor exposes the structure for the proposed repair items. Quantities my increase or decrease, additional work may be added or work deleted as conditions require with the Engineer’s approval.
