Specifications include, but are not limited to: 5 CARPET MAINTENANCE SERVICES: a. Carpets will be shampooed or bonnet cleaned. Carpet cleaning frequency for Grand Glaize will be completed at the discretion of Management. Bidders will identify which process will be used. (Item # 99083) b. Carpets in high traffic areas may be extracted at least once each quarter, unless otherwise directed by Management. High traffic areas include, but are not limited to, corridors, lunchrooms, elevators, entrances to elevators, entrances to and exits from buildings. Carpet in normal traffic areas will be extracted as directed by Management. (Item # 99084) c. Carpet Maintenance Services shall include extracts as necessary or required for spills or unusual conditions such as, but not limited to, bad weather, moving of furniture, etc. Minor extractions should be included in the monthly fee. Bidder is to notify District if extraction is considered anything other than minor in nature. Should an extraction be major in nature, Bidder should include a price per square foot in their proposal. (Item # 71133) d. Carpet will be treated with a soil retardant treatment whenever the carpet is shampooed, bonnet cleaned, and/or extracted. Bidders will identify the type of soil retardant product that will be used.
