The Public Works Facility was destroyed in the 2013 Flood and has been rebuilt with in a different location out of the floodplain. The new Public Works Operations Building does not have a back-up power source and is considered a critical facility of the town, including its function as an emergency operations base in a future disaster. A back-up generator will ensure the facility is available during emergencies when the main power source will likely be disrupted and increase the resiliency of the Town.
This contract’s scope of work includes Design, permit, and install a back-up generator at the Public Works Operations Building in accordance within all applicable federal, state and local requirements. Respondents with demonstrated generator installation experience and with an interest in making their services available to Town are invited to respond to this IFB. “Respondents” means the companies or individuals that submit bids in response to this IFB. It is understood that the selected Respondent acting as an individual, partnership, corporation or other legal entity, is state licensed and capable of providing the specified services. The Respondent shall be financially solvent and each of its members if a joint venture, its employees, agents or sub-consultants of any tier shall be competent to perform the services required under this IFB document.
