Colorado Mountain College’s Central Services located at 802 Grand Ave., Glenwood Springs, CO is requesting quotes from qualified firms and/or individuals to provide compliant Data Network Cabling (Structured Cabling System).
SPECIFICATIONS
CMC currently has facilities located in twelve communities on the western slope of Colorado; the vendor will need to have availability in all locations. The result of this RFP is to select a vendor to be available for all Structured Cabling Projects in 2019-2020.
Cabling and all associated equipment must be verified CAT6 Compliant and follow the 'CMC Infrastructure Standard'.
Please review Colorado Mountain College’s Infrastructure Standards attached hereto as Exhibit A for technical specifications.
Also, the selected vendor shall be expected to do the following during the term of the contract:
• Provide a timely quote for every project, as requested. Coordinate through a designated CMC contact before the beginning of the installation work and will work directly with the Network Administrator or Engineer.
• Supply all supervision, tools, equipment, hardware, material, transportation, and construction, and all other related services unless specific provisioning by the customer has been denoted.
• Follow the 'CMC Infrastructure Standard'
• Abide by all school regulations, including fire and safety regulations. CMC Security Policies must be observed at all times.
• Be responsible for repair of all damage to the building due to the negligence of its workers.
• Provide evidence of the completion of each project with a successful test on said system with results provided to owner in owner specified format(s) upon completion of any repair, replacement or installation activity. Cable test results need to be supplied electronically to the designated individual; hardcopy results provided upon request.
• Be responsible for the prompt correction of all defects in the system.
• Leave the premises clean and neat.
• Provide revised drawings upon completion of a project in either hard copy or electronic format
• Assume total responsibility for the actions of any/all subcontractors.
• Provide sources for employee ongoing training. Because the technical industry changes rapidly, continued technical training is a requirement.
PROPOSAL CONTENT
The information provided herein is intended to assist Bidders with a proper response to this RFP. CMC believes that this RFP provides interested Bidders with sufficient information to submit proposals that meet minimum requirements. However, the RFP is not intended to limit a proposal’s content or to exclude any relevant or essential data. Bidders are encouraged to include additional information that will substantiate their service capabilities, product quality, and commitment to support your product or service. Any exceptions or alternate offerings to this request must be communicated. CMC reserves the sole right to determine what is considered to be “equivalent” or “equal”. CMC also reserves the right to request samples for testing and evaluation.
Additionally, CMC recognizes you as the expert in this industry and we appreciate ideas that may improve the design or implementation of our project. Please submit your bid to the specifications provided and include information or ideas you may have that CMC should consider to improve our project. Our selection committee will carefully review these ideas and we will contact you with questions.
