161.2017 - Network Operator for the Pitkin County Broadband Initiative

Pitkin County (hereinafter the "County") is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to
qualify and select a high speed internet (hereinafter “broadband”) Network Operator
(hereinafter the "Operator") for the Pitkin County Broadband Initiative (PCBI). The
County requests a Network Operator to oversee the operation of a modern broadband
network that will provide broadband access to underserved communities in Pitkin County
and potentially throughout the Roaring Fork Watershed (see Figure 1). The County seeks
firms that offer creative solutions for participation in this Initiative, highlighting the
economic development and financial benefits for all parties involved.
