The purpose of this solicitation is to complete Facilities Remodel Assessments and deliver recommendations for eight (8) City of Pueblo (City) fire station facilities (described further in Section 3) that include detailed current conditions, scope, schedule, and cost information for the various delinquency recommendations. Each of these fire station facilities varies in terms of age, design, construction methods, and materials. The successful firm will be required to develop a program document to be utilized as a benchmark for the City of Pueblo’s Fire Station facilities as they will be developed now and into the future.
The City is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to assist the City’s Public Works Department to perform facility assessments, as they relate to health, safety, and functionality, for the eight listed fire stations. The City is requesting a qualified firm or team including various disciplines (as necessary) and appropriate professionals to determine solutions and provide recommendations to issues as they relate to ensuring health and safety of their personnel and optimal daily operations of the station. Items considered will include but are limited to keeping living areas free of carcinogens, diesel fumes, biohazards, etc.; providing environments allowing for rest, relaxation, and recovery for firefighting personnel; and ensuring adequate facilities for daily operations of the firehouse.
