SS 17-252 NM - DTD Atkins_Bike & Ped Inventory

This project will be a continuation of the progress made during the 2016 CDOT Bicycle and Pedestrian Inventory Pilot project. This project will use the methodology developed during the initial pilot project to inventory the remaining CDOT Regions’ bicycle and pedestrian facilities. This project will inventory the bicycle and pedestrian assets in all Regions other than CDOT Region 2, which was completed during the pilot project. The outcome will be a geodatabase which will assign an Enhanced Level of Traffic Stress (ELTS) and Bicycle Level of Service (BLOS) rating to each state highway segment. In addition, the geodatabase will identify and inventory the location and type of various bicycling infrastructure assets as well as the presence of walking facilities.
 
To complete this task, existing CDOT databases will be used and additional roadway attributes will be inventoried from electronic visual sources such as CDOT’s Windshield application and complementary sources such as Google Earth.
 
The contractor will execute the previously developed inventory methodology for non-motorized transportation facilities in CDOT Regions 1, 3, 4, and 5. The inventory will be conducted by Region with a separate Task Order for each Region.
