024-24 RFQ - 024-24 RFQ - Aerial Lift Inspection Services

Scope:

DCSD is seeking firm bid prices to provide general inspection services for each of the District’s thirty-one (31) aerial lifts. Aerial lifts are located at multiple different District buildings and require visits to each location in order for the Supplier to perform inspections. Inspection services will be performed during the summer months, so as not to interfere with school activities. Each aerial lift and its associated details are listed in Exhibit A – Aerial Lift Master Inventory & Pricing.

Please complete Exhibit A and return with your quote. Pricing should be based on a single annual inspection visit for each aerial lift and not include the cost of repairs.
The following list of inspections should be performed during each site visit:

1. Review operator’s manual for all functions and their controls.
2. Inspect lower controls, including the provisions for overriding of upper controls.
3. Inspect all chain and cable mechanisms for adjustment and worn or damaged parts.
4. Inspect all emergency and safety devices.
5. Clean and lubricate all moving parts and inspect filter element(s), hydraulic oil, engine oil,
   and coolant, as specified by the manufacturer. (make note of any fluid leaks)
6. Perform visual inspection of structural components and other critical components, such as fasteners, pins, shafts, and locking mechanisms.
7. Inspect batteries and chargers, for applicable DC models.
8. Inspect placards, safety decals, and control markings.
9. Review manufacturer inspection checklist for each aerial lift.
10. Inspect emergency lowering means.
