Separate sealed bids for BROADWAY AND PLAZA INTERSECTION & SIGNAL RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, TF 2021-021 will be received by the Owner, Douglas County Government, Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104, until Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. This project consists of the reconstruction of the concrete intersection at Broadway and Plaza Drive in Highlands Ranch, including the replacement of the existing traffic signal at this intersection. Work includes the removal and replacement of curb, gutter, and sidewalk, concrete pavement and curb ramps, removal of the existing traffic signals, construction of a new signalized intersection including setting new traffic signal poles and mast arms provided by Douglas County, and associated work. Bid items include traffic signal components, erosion control items, aggregate base course, and pavement markings, construction surveying, topsoil, sod, and irrigation.
The Contract Documents will be available after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, through Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System Website (www.rockymountainbidsystem.com) or they may be obtained at the above address. Electronic versions of the Plans obtained by any other means than as described above may not be complete or accurate, and it is the Bidder’s responsibility to obtain a complete set of the Project Plans and Specifications. Douglas County will not be held responsible for misinformation received from private plan rooms.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104. All questions are due to Karl Lucero, Project Engineer by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. The Bid Opening will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the same address.
The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities:
- approximately 3,400 square yards of concrete pavement and curb ramps
- approximately 620 linear feet of curb, gutter, and sidewalk
- 434 L.F. of 2” electrical conduit
- 296 L.F. of 3” electrical conduit
- 488 L.F. of 2” electrical conduit (bored)
- 472 L.F. of 3” electrical conduit (bored)
Prior to submitting a Bid Proposal, Bidders shall have received prequalification status (active status) with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth herein.
