2024-RFP-01 - Jail-Based Behavioral Services (JBBS)

The Jail Based Behavioral Health Services (JBBS) Program has been operational since October 2011 with funding from the Correctional Treatment Cash Fund under C.R.S.18-19-103 (5)(c)(V).  The JBBS Program aims to provide appropriate behavioral health services to inmates while supporting continuity of care within the community after release from incarceration.  To carry out the JBBS program, sheriff departments may partner with local community provider(s) who can demonstrate the ability to provide services within the jail and the capacity to offer or link individuals released from jail to free or low-cost services in the community, as detailed in the scope of services within this RFP.  This approach should result in shorter jail sentences and decreased recidivism through better identification and treatment of the behavioral health needs of incarcerated individuals.

Please note that the term dates indicated above for this project are to reflect the current state fiscal year which ends June 30, 2024. At that time, the contract terms will be yearly to coincide with the state fiscal year of July 1 through June 30th. Renewal will be at the discretion of the Sheriff.
