Colorado State University (CSU) intends to procure A Zurn 150 Plot Combine Harvester via sole source. A Zurn 150 Plot Combine is necessary for the CSU Crops Testing Program to conduct field research to provide unbiased and reliable information to Colorado crop producers and the agriculture industry. The program disseminates yield, quality and physiological data for over 150 crop cultivars each year, in addition to providing information on numerous agronomic practices and crop input products available to producers. The program also assists with the development of improved winter wheat varieties for farmers in Colorado through collaboration with the CSU Wheat Breeding Program. The plot combine is necessary to allow for mechanical harvest of over 5,500 field research plots each year in a wide variety of crops that are grown in Colorado. A plot combine harvester allows for fast, safe, and accurate data collection.
