SSN-2023-102-JS - Frequency Stabilized Laser System

Colorado State University hereby gives notice of its intent to purchase a frequency stabilized laser system at 1550nm from Stable Laser Systems, Inc. via sole source. The Department of Physics at Colorado State University intends to purchase the Stable Laser Systems frequency stabilized laser system for ion trapping experiments that require low-noise laser systems for laser cooling, detection, quantum manipulation, and high-resolution laser spectroscopy applications with trapped ions. CSU requires a 1550 nm frequency stabilized laser system for use in stabilizing the repetition rate of an existing optical frequency comb synthesizer. This system will act as the local reference oscillator in a broadband optical frequency metrology system for use in optical clock operations with a variety of trapped ions.
