The Office of Design and Construction (“ODC”) is responsible for all construction-related projects on the Colorado School of Mines (“Mines”) campus. This includes smaller classroom/lab type projects, departmental moves, remodeling, and new construction. ODC reviews all furniture purchase requests to approve the furniture being purchased and acts as liaison and point of contact for all furniture purchases. This is accomplished through established furniture standards that summarize currently approved dealers and the furniture lines they distribute. As Mines continues to expand its programs and services, furniture needs and standards have expanded, requiring the need to update Mines’ furniture standards to meet this demand.
Mines is seeking authorized dealers for the furniture manufacturers listed herein to update Mines’ furniture standards for future furniture purchases on a “FOB Destination, prepay and add” basis. The goal of this DQ is to prequalify authorized dealers for these specified furniture manufacturers, including prices, discounts, quick ship programs, delivery, installation, tariff charges, lead times and representative contact information for use by ODC and Mines. Multiple dealers will be awarded under this DQ for the manufacturers they qualify for. There will be an overlap of some dealers who qualify to distribute to the same manufacturers. Mines will work with prequalified dealers to enter into a Personal Services Agreement.
