Specifications include, but are not limited to: Transportation and Disposal: Contractor shall perform the following tasks: • Waste will be packaged by SWD personnel prior to the contractor’s arrival. The contractor will be required to do preparatory work such as, but not limited to, inspection of packaged material and shipping paperwork. • Contractor shall provide cylinders or boxes for shipping fluorescent bulbs including 4’ and 8’ bulbs and cubic yard boxes for shipment of circuit boards and other small electronics. Cost of cylinders and boxes shall be included in the price of disposal. • The contents of refrigerant cylinders collected at the HHWF are assumed to be as labeled on the cylinder. • Determining refrigerant types contained within cylinders is the responsibility of the contractor. SWD is seeking pricing for disposal of cylinders containing single refrigerants and if cylinders contain mixed refrigerant, pricing for disposal of mixed refrigerant gases. Page 2 of 7 • SWD personnel will assist in the loading of wastes onto contractor vehicle. The contractor shall be responsible for proper load securement in accordance with DOT regulations. • The contractor shall provide disposal of E-Waste transportation services, meeting all federal, state and local regulations, to a certified disposal/recycling facility. • The SWD does not guarantee waste shipment quantities; however, a typical load consists of 8 pallets of material. SWD anticipates services being necessary at least once per quarter.
