The Floral St School Gymnasium floor is approximately 7,186 Sq. Ft. This includes the area under the folded bleachers. Finish Materials: Provide oil modified polyurethane seal and finish, equal to Robbins “Miracle Finish System’’ and “Gameline” paint, Connor “Court-Time,” or Town of Shrewsbury approved equals. Provide game-line paints as recommended by finishing materials manufacturer to be compatible with finish. Contractor must submit the owner manufactures information on all materials prior to the start of work. Wood Flooring Finishing: Remove all vented rubber base and save for reinstallation or replace if damaged. Sand and finish flooring as recommended by flooring products manufacturer and in conformance with MFMA Reference Two. Care must be taken to prevent dust from entering other parts of the school during the sanding process. Apply sealers and finishes using manufacturer’s standard four-coat system (two coats of sealer, two coats of finish). Ensure uniform appearance of new flooring. Screen and vacuum between each coat as recommended by MFMA Reference Two. Apply game lines accurately after seal coats have been applied. New game lines are to be replaced exactly as they are presently. For game lines, follow recommendations of MFMA Reference Three. Lines and solid color areas shall be straight, with sharp edges. Re-install all vented rubber base after floor has thoroughly dried.
