Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) is seeking Contractor to provide a bid for demolition, removal, and replacement of drain, waste line pipes in the crawlspace. The waste line system is composed of 2", 3", and 4”, pipes. This facility has approximately 70’ of two inch pipe, 120’ of three inch pipe, and 230’ of four inch cast iron pipe in the crawl space where DWV pipe is accessible to be decontructed, removed from crawlspace, disposed of properly, and replaced with appropriately sized ABS piping. Existing DWV pipes to be cut 6” below the subfloor decking of crawlspace. Replacement of new piping shall be installed as practicable with connecting components (i.e. T’s Y;s couplers, extensions, etc.) at the 6” line to ensure positive slope requirements to city drain/waste line at final termination point of the building to city sewer line. The above lenght measurements do not account for fittings installed, soil stacks, and vent stacks. Clean outs to the first floor level are to be installed to the 4” main sewer line. Contract shall also include jetting of all building vertical DWV and lateral lines to unit fixtures. At the conclusion of crawl space DWV replacement and jetting activities, contractor shall perform an inspection through camera/scope building vertical and lateral DWV piping to determine condition and need for replacement or repair. Connection of crawl space DWV to city main shall be be inspected with camera/scope to determine if repair needs exist. Included in the above scope will be to evaluate 6” waste line from crawlspace to city sewer for integrity and recommend any replacements or repairs. Recording of camera scoping will be required. Schedule of values and work plan narrative will be due within four weeks of award. Project not to begin before AHFC review and approval.
