The Successful Offeror agrees to provide an at-sea research platform and capable dive team to perform sea urchin surveys at four locations: (1) Gold Beach (Rogue Reef); (2) Port Orford (Orford Reef); (3) Depoe Bay; (4) Redfish Rocks, Oregon. The time span of the project is approximately June 14, 2024 to October 31, 2024. It is estimated that about 14 vessel days will be required to complete the sea urchin surveys, although the specific number of vessel days will be determined by a combination of factors including weather and sea conditions, depth and topographic characteristics of the survey habitat, abundance of the sea urchins, safety of the vessel and crew, and other considerations. Sea urchin surveys are expected to entail performing underwater work along several transects at pre-described locations each day. Sea urchin surveys require two divers working efficiently as a team, following established protocol to use video equipment, record careful notes, and collecting samples of sea urchins.
