Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1. Task One: Possess the physical and digital infrastructure to fulfill program requirements 1. Have industry tested physical and digital infrastructure push customizable alerts from an active response vehicle directly to automobile manufactures and/or through to third party navigational applications, such as Waze and Apple/Google Maps. Unless requested otherwise by response agency, the selected vendor will be responsible for installation of all devices. 2. Provided a detailed timeline of outreach to agencies and installation of devices. A. As the final number of devices may fluctuate based on installation cost, include a tiered timeline if applicable (for example: 100-200 devices will require x amount of time; 200-300 will require xx amount of time; etc.). More information concerning the timeline is preferred. 3. Work with both DVRPC and directly with selected response agencies to install all necessary hardware and/or software on response vehicles. A. This could potentially require outreach and coordination with 600+ agencies throughout DVRPC's nine-county region B. Vendor would be responsible for providing and/or purchasing the digital alerting equipment or materials needed to provide this service. C. If installation includes a third party, invoicing will still be processed between DVRPC and the selected vendor for this program. D. Outreach will include necessary educational sessions, or any documentation resources explaining the benefits of digital alerting and how it can increase safety for both first responders and the traveling public. E. Selected vendor will proactively provide DVRPC will status updates concerning the outreach and installation processes.
