Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project provides for the construction of an underground storm sewer and an improved berm/swale to intercept stormwater within the Haas Avenue right-of-way and convey the stormwater to an existing area inlet (13N42-180D). The project intent is to provide adequate storm sewer systems and overland flow paths to reduce flooding in the project area, especially at 11465 Essex Avenue, by intercepting the stormwater uphill and directing the stormwater to existing storm sewers which discharge to a Fee Fee Creek tributary. The proposed improvement consists of approximately 194 linear feet of 12-inch Class III reinforced concrete piping, two (2) new storm sewer structures, connection to the existing storm sewer, and approximately 165’ of 4’ wide flat bottom swale and 2’ high berm. The scope of work includes the removal of select trees and other vegetation, removal of improvements, earth grading operations, the construction/placement of storm sewers, concrete pavement, integral curb and sumps, curb, sidewalk and sodding.
